If you've successfully installed the app on your phone, the next step is registration. The process isn't complicated — as long as you downloaded the official Binance APP from the Binance official website, you're good to go. iPhone users who haven't installed yet can check our iOS installation guide first. Let me break down every step of registration.
What You See When You First Open the App
The first time you open the app after installation, you'll see a welcome page with "Login" and "Sign Up" buttons. If you're a first-time user, just tap "Sign Up."
If the interface is in a language you don't prefer, you can either change it before or after registration — it's up to you.
Choosing Your Registration Method
After tapping Register, the app asks you to choose between email or phone number registration. Both work, each with pros and cons.
Email Registration
Email registration is more stable and isn't affected by carrier issues. We recommend international email providers like Gmail or Outlook. Domestic email services also work but may occasionally have trouble receiving verification codes.
Enter your email address and set a password. Password requirements are typically 8+ characters including uppercase/lowercase letters and numbers. Set a complex password — your financial security depends on it.
Phone Number Registration
Phone registration is more intuitive and verification codes arrive faster. Select your country code, enter your number, and the system sends an SMS verification code.
Invitation Code
You may see an "Invitation code" or "Referral code" field on the registration page. If you have a friend's code, entering it can get you trading fee discounts. If you don't have one, you can leave it blank — it won't affect registration.
We do recommend entering an invitation code when possible, as the fee savings are real.
Verifying Your Email or Phone
After submitting your registration info, the system sends a verification code. For email registration, check your inbox; for phone registration, wait for the SMS.
The code is typically 6 digits with a validity period of about 10–15 minutes. Never share your verification code with anyone — official support will never ask for it.
If you're not receiving the code, try:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Confirm your phone number is entered correctly
- Wait a minute or two and tap "Resend"
- Try a different email or phone number
Setting Up Security Verification
After successful registration, the app will guide you through security setup. This step is critical — take it seriously.
Google Authenticator
This is the most recommended security method. Download the Google Authenticator app, then scan the QR code displayed in the Binance app to bind it. After binding, you'll need to enter the dynamic code from Google Authenticator every time you log in or withdraw.
SMS Verification
If Google Authenticator feels too complex, SMS verification is an alternative. However, it's less secure due to the risk of SIM card cloning.
Basic Settings After Registration
Complete Your Profile
After registration, complete your personal information and identity verification as soon as possible. While basic features work without verification, withdrawal limits are significantly restricted.
Explore the Interface
The home screen typically shows market data, with main navigation buttons at the bottom: Home, Markets, Trade, Assets, etc. Take a few minutes to tap around and familiarize yourself with each section.
Set a Fund Password
In security settings, you can set a separate fund password required for every transfer or withdrawal. Think of it as an additional lock on your funds — even if someone knows your login password, they can't access your money without the fund password.
Common Beginner Mistakes
The first common mistake is setting a password that's too simple. Using birthdays or phone number digits is extremely insecure.
The second is ignoring security settings after registration. Many people skip Google Authenticator binding because it seems like a hassle — they only regret it when their account gets compromised.
The third is registering on an insecure network. Operating on public Wi-Fi carries the risk of information interception. Use your own mobile data connection instead.
What If You Run Into Registration Issues?
If you encounter problems during registration — like pages that won't load or verification codes that never arrive — try switching your network environment or clearing the app cache and retrying. If nothing works, find the live support chat on the official website for assistance.
Registration is actually the simplest step in the entire process — it takes just a few minutes. The key is completing all security measures afterward to protect your account and assets.
