Downloaded the Binance APK but can't find the file? Or want to share it with a friend but don't know where to look? This is a common issue. You can always re-download the installer from the Binance official website — it only takes a few minutes. If you haven't downloaded yet, get the latest official Binance APP directly. iPhone storage works completely differently — check our iOS installation guide if needed.
Where APK Files Are Usually Stored
Default Download Location
When you download an APK through your phone's browser, it's saved to the "Download" folder in your phone's internal storage by default. Different browsers may use slightly different paths:
| Browser | Default Download Path |
|---|---|
| Chrome | /Internal Storage/Download/ |
| Built-in Browser | /Internal Storage/Download/ |
| Other Browsers | May vary — check browser settings |
How to Find the Download Folder
Method 1: Through File Manager
- Open the "File Manager" app (every Android phone has one built-in)
- Select "Internal Storage" or "Phone Storage"
- Find the "Download" folder and tap to enter
- Look for an APK file with "Binance" in the name
Method 2: Through Browser Download Manager
- Open the browser you used for downloading
- Tap the browser menu (usually three dots in the top right)
- Select "Downloads" or "Download Manager"
- Find the Binance APK in the list
- Tap "Open file location" or long-press to select "View location"
Method 3: Through Search
- Open your file manager
- Tap the search icon
- Type "Binance" or ".apk"
- The search results will show the downloaded installer
What the Downloaded APK File Looks Like
File Naming
APK files from the Binance website typically follow formats like:
Binance_v2.xx.xx.apkbinance-release.apkBinance.apk
If your browser downloaded multiple copies, it may add number suffixes like Binance (1).apk, Binance (2).apk.
File Size
The genuine Binance APK is typically between 50MB and 100MB. If the file you find is only a few MB or KB, it's not the real installer — it's either a download link file or a corrupted file.
Practical APK File Management
Keep the Installer as a Backup
After installing the app, the downloaded APK isn't automatically deleted. We recommend keeping it as a backup. If you ever need to reinstall or set up another phone, you can use the backup APK without re-downloading.
Cleaning Up Old Versions
If you've updated multiple times, your Download folder may have accumulated several APK versions. Old versions have no value — you can safely delete them to free up space.
Keep only the latest version, or delete them all — you can always re-download from the official website when needed.
What If You Can't Find the APK File
Download Didn't Complete
The browser showed progress but the download was interrupted. The Download folder may have an incomplete file (usually with a .crdownload or .part extension), or no file at all. Solution: re-download.
Security Software Deleted It
Some phone security apps automatically scan downloaded APKs, and if they detect "risk" (Binance is often falsely flagged), they may delete the file or move it to quarantine. Check the quarantine/history in your security app.
Downloaded to SD Card
If your phone defaults downloads to the SD card, the APK may be in the SD card's Download folder. Switch to "SD Card" or "External Storage" in your file manager.
A Note About APK Security
Don't Install APKs from Chat Messages
If someone shares a "latest Binance version" APK in a messaging group, don't install it directly. You can't verify whether the file has been tampered with. Always get installers from official channels.
Verify Before Installing
If you're unsure about a downloaded file's safety, upload the APK to VirusTotal (an online virus scanning tool) for analysis. It scans files with dozens of antivirus engines simultaneously.
Finding the Binance APK on your phone is straightforward — in most cases, it's in the Download folder. Once found, just tap to install or reinstall.
