Many people download the Binance app only to find the interface is entirely in English. Switching the language is actually very simple. First, make sure you've installed the genuine app from the Binance official website — the official Binance APP. If you haven't installed it yet, iPhone users can check our iOS installation guide and Android users can download directly from the official website.

Why the App Defaults to English

You might wonder — doesn't Binance support Chinese? Why does the app download in English? There are a few reasons:

  1. The app automatically selects the display language based on your phone's system language. If your system is set to English, the app defaults to English
  2. Some regional downloads default to English
  3. You may have skipped the language selection during initial setup

Don't worry — the Binance app supports multiple languages and switching is very easy.

Detailed Language Switch Steps

When Already Logged In

If you're already signed in, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Binance app and go to the home page

Step 2: Tap the profile icon in the top left to enter your personal center

Step 3: Scroll down to find "Settings" and tap it

Step 4: In the settings list, find "Language" and tap it

Step 5: Select your preferred language from the list (e.g., "Simplified Chinese" or "English")

Step 6: The app will show a confirmation prompt — tap "Confirm"

Step 7: The app will automatically restart or refresh, and all content will display in your chosen language

When Not Logged In

If you haven't signed in or even registered yet, you can still switch the language:

Option 1: On the login page, look for a globe icon or language option at the top or bottom. Tap it to see the language list.

Option 2: Some versions have a three-dot menu or settings icon in the top right of the login page with a language option.

Option 3: If you can't find the language switch on the login page, quickly register and sign in first, then follow the logged-in steps above.

What Changes After Switching

After switching, all major app pages display in your chosen language:

Home Page

The market overview, quick feature shortcuts, and more will all display in your selected language. Note that cryptocurrency ticker symbols (BTC, ETH, etc.) are international abbreviations and won't be translated.

Trading Page

Buy/sell buttons, order type selections (limit/market), quantity and price input prompts all switch languages, making trading more intuitive.

Wallet Page

Asset overview, account balances, deposit/withdrawal buttons — all fully localized.

Personal Center

Identity verification, security settings, preference settings — all menu items display in your chosen language.

Other Language-Related Settings

Push Notification Language

After switching the interface language, push notifications will also change. If notifications remain in the old language, check your phone's system notification settings.

Customer Service Language

When contacting live support, the system automatically matches support agents who speak your language based on your settings.

Email Language

In settings, you can also change the language preference for official emails. After changing, all future official emails will be in your selected language.

Tips for a Better App Experience

While you're in the settings, consider these additional tweaks:

Set a Default Trading Pair

On the trading page, set your most-watched trading pair (e.g., BTC/USDT) as the default so it appears every time you open the trading page.

Customize Home Page Layout

Home page modules can be rearranged. Put frequently used features up front and hide ones you rarely use.

Enable Price Alerts

Set price alerts for coins you're watching. The app will notify you when prices hit your targets, so you don't have to watch the screen constantly.

Adjust Chart Preferences

In the charts, set your default timeframe (1 min, 5 min, 1 hour, etc.) and default technical indicators based on your trading style.
