The Binance desktop client has a quick trade feature that's incredibly convenient, allowing you to complete buy or sell operations in just seconds. But many users don't know where to find it after installing the desktop version. First, make sure you have the genuine client from the Binance official website. The desktop version is developed by the same team as the official Binance APP, with guaranteed functionality and security. Mobile users can check our iOS installation guide.
What Is Quick Trade?
Quick trade (also called Convert or instant swap) is a simplified trading mode. Compared to traditional order placement, the workflow is dramatically simplified:
Traditional trading: Select pair → Switch buy/sell → Choose order type → Enter price → Enter quantity → Confirm → Wait for execution
Quick trade: Select coin → Enter amount → Confirm buy/sell
Quick trade eliminates pair selection, price setting, and order type choices. The system automatically executes at the current best market price.
When to Use Quick Trade
Quick Dip Buying or Stop-Loss
Market suddenly drops and you want to buy the dip, or price spikes and you want to sell for profit. No time for limit orders — quick trade executes in seconds.
Small Transactions
Just want to buy a small amount of a coin without precise price control. Quick trade is much simpler than the traditional flow.
Beginners
Not yet familiar with limit vs. market orders. Quick trade is simple enough — just enter an amount and confirm.
Coin Conversion
Want to swap USDT for ETH, or BTC for BNB. Quick trade is essentially a coin conversion tool with an intuitive interface.
How to Enable It on Desktop
Find the Quick Trade Entry
Open the Binance desktop client and sign in. In the top navigation, find the "Trade" menu and look for "Convert" or "Quick Trade." If not visible in the nav bar, try searching "Convert" in the search box, or check the trading page sidebar.
Enable the Feature
Some client versions may require manual activation in settings. Go to Settings → Trading Settings and look for a "Quick Trade" toggle.
How to Use Quick Trade
Step 1: Select Coins
On the quick trade page, you'll see two dropdown menus. The top one is the coin you're spending (e.g., USDT), the bottom is what you're buying (e.g., BTC).
Step 2: Enter Amount
Enter how much you want to spend. The system shows a real-time estimate of how much you'll receive.
Step 3: Get a Quote
Tap "Get Quote" or "Preview." The system provides a live quote valid for a few seconds (a countdown displays on screen).
Step 4: Confirm
Check if the quote is acceptable. If so, tap "Confirm" before the countdown expires. If the quote expires, just tap "Get Quote" again.
Step 5: Done
After confirming, the trade completes instantly and your wallet balance updates in real time. The entire process typically takes under 10 seconds.
Quick Trade Fees
Quick trade doesn't have a separate fee, but the execution price includes a spread. This means your buy price is slightly above the mid-market price, and your sell price is slightly below.
For small transactions, this spread is negligible. For large amounts (tens of thousands of USDT), traditional limit orders may be more cost-effective.
Quick Trade vs. Traditional Trading
| Aspect | Quick Trade | Traditional Trading |
|---|---|---|
| Steps | 3-4 | 5-7 |
| Execution | Instant | Requires matching |
| Price Control | System quote | Custom price |
| Best For | Small, fast trades | Large, precise trades |
| Cost | Includes spread | Based on fee rate |
| Learning Curve | Very low | Medium |
Important Notes
Always double-check the coins and amounts before confirming — quick trades are irreversible once confirmed. During high volatility, quotes may differ from expectations, so review carefully. Beginners should start with small amounts to learn the flow before trading larger sums.
