Typing your password every time you open the Binance app — especially a complex one — gets annoying fast. The app supports fingerprint login: once set up, a single touch gets you in, quickly and securely. Make sure you have the genuine official Binance APP from the Binance official website. iPhone users can follow our iOS installation guide.

Why Use Fingerprint Login

Speed

A single touch on the sensor unlocks the app in under a second — far faster than typing a complex password.

Security

Your fingerprint is a unique biometric feature that can't be seen or guessed. Passwords can be observed by people nearby or captured by keyloggers.

You'll Never Forget It

Unlike passwords, you can't forget your fingerprint.

Anti-Peeping

In public places, fingerprint login requires no on-screen input, completely avoiding the risk of someone watching you type your password.

Before You Start

Check Phone Support

Almost all modern smartphones support fingerprint recognition — side-mounted, rear-mounted, or under-display. If your phone is too old to have a fingerprint sensor, this feature won't be available.

Register Your Fingerprint

If you haven't registered fingerprints on your phone:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Find "Security" or "Biometrics and Security"
  3. Select "Fingerprint"
  4. Set a lock screen password (as backup)
  5. Follow the prompts to press the sensor repeatedly
  6. Registration complete

We recommend registering at least two fingers in case one is injured or wet.

How to Enable Fingerprint Login

Step 1: Go to Security Settings

  1. Open the Binance app and sign in normally
  2. Tap the profile icon → Security Center
  3. Find "Biometric" or "Fingerprint/Face" option

Step 2: Enable Biometric Login

  1. Tap into biometric settings
  2. Find the "Fingerprint unlock" or "Biometric login" toggle
  3. Enable it

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

The system asks you to confirm it's really you:

  1. Enter your login password
  2. May also require SMS or Google Authenticator code
  3. After verification, the system activates fingerprint recognition
  4. Place your finger on the sensor as prompted

Step 4: Done

After successful fingerprint verification, biometric login is enabled. Next time you open the app, just use your fingerprint.

Where Fingerprint Login Works

App Unlock

Every time you open the Binance app, a fingerprint prompt appears. Touch the sensor, and you're in.

Trade Confirmation

Some app versions support using fingerprint instead of password for trade confirmations.

Payment Verification

P2P trade payment confirmations may also use fingerprint verification.

FAQ

What if fingerprint recognition fails?

After consecutive failures, the app will show a password input screen. Common causes: wet/dry fingers, finger injuries, dirty sensor, or different angle than when registered. Clean your finger and sensor, then retry.

Does it work after switching phones?

Fingerprint data is stored locally. On a new phone, you'll need to register fingerprints again and re-enable the feature in the Binance app.

Can I keep both fingerprint and password login?

Yes. Enabling fingerprint doesn't disable password login. You can always choose either method.

Could someone else use their fingerprint?

No — only fingerprints registered on your phone will work. However, if someone else's fingerprint is also registered on your phone (shared family phone), they could unlock your Binance app too. Don't register other people's fingerprints on your phone.

Does enabling fingerprint reduce security?

No. Fingerprint login itself is highly secure. Just ensure your phone's lock screen security is also strong.

Face Recognition Also Available

If your phone supports face recognition (Face ID), the Binance app supports that too. The setup process is similar — select face recognition in biometric settings. Choose based on your phone's hardware — whichever is available works great.
