Every time Binance APP releases a new version, users are most curious about what changed and whether there are new features. As a long-time user, I regularly follow version update logs. Today I'll summarize the most notable improvements from recent updates. If you haven't installed it yet, download the official Binance APP from the Binance official website. For iPhone installation, check the iOS installation guide.
Trading Feature Improvements
Order Placement Experience Optimization
The new version made significant adjustments to the order placement interface. Buy and sell buttons are larger and more prominent, reducing the chance of accidental operations. The price input field now has quick percentage buttons — 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% — allowing you to quickly set position sizes with a single tap.
The price deviation warning for limit orders is also smarter. If you enter a price that deviates too far from the current market price, the APP displays a friendly prompt to prevent losses from accidentally entering the wrong price.
K-Line Chart Upgrade
K-line charts have always been a core component of trading apps. The new version loads K-line charts faster, eliminating the brief blank screen when switching time periods. New technical indicators have been added, including some advanced ones to meet the analytical needs of experienced traders.
Drawing tools have also been improved, making it easier to draw trend lines, support levels, and resistance levels on the K-line chart. Drawn lines are automatically saved and remain visible the next time you open the same trading pair.
Futures Trading Improvements
The futures trading page now includes more risk warnings to help users better understand the risks of leveraged trading. The position management interface has been optimized, providing clearer visibility of each position's profit/loss, margin ratio, and other key data.
A new paper trading feature has been added, allowing beginners to practice trading with virtual funds before using real money. This feature is extremely useful for those wanting to learn futures trading.
Security Feature Improvements
Enhanced Login Security
The new version strengthened anomalous login detection. If your account logs in from a new device or an unusual location, the system automatically triggers additional security verification. This helps prevent unauthorized access if your account is compromised.
The device management feature is now more detailed, showing not only device names and login times but also login IP addresses and approximate geographic locations. Suspicious devices can be removed with one tap.
Anti-Phishing Feature Upgrade
The anti-phishing code is now used in more places — not just in emails but also in certain in-app notifications. This allows you to verify the authenticity of various messages received within the APP through the anti-phishing code.
New security push notifications have been added. When someone attempts to modify your security settings or log in from a new device, an immediate push notification is sent to your phone.
Biometric Authentication Improvements
Face recognition and fingerprint authentication response times are faster. Some users previously reported a one to two second delay between recognition and entering the APP — the new version has virtually eliminated this, providing instant access.
Support for biometric features on more phone models has been added, significantly improving compatibility.
User Experience Improvements
Home Page Personalization
The new version's home page supports more customization options. You can choose which modules to display, adjust module order, and hide unnecessary information. The watchlist has also been optimized with more powerful sorting and filtering features.
Multi-Language Support Improvement
The APP now supports more languages, and translations are more accurate and natural. Some feature pages that previously had awkward or incorrect translations have been comprehensively proofread in the new version.
Dark Mode Optimization
The dark mode color scheme has been adjusted for better display on OLED screens. Some elements that were previously difficult to see in dark mode have also been fixed.
Notification System Upgrade
Push notification categories are now more granular — you can separately control market alerts, trade notifications, security notifications, and other categories. If you don't want to be disturbed by a certain type of notification, you can turn it off individually.
The price alert feature has also been enhanced, supporting more complex alert conditions, such as "Notify me when BTC rises more than 5% within 24 hours."
Performance Improvements
Startup Speed
The APP's cold start speed has noticeably improved, with the time from tapping the icon to displaying the main interface significantly reduced. This is mainly thanks to code optimization and loading process adjustments.
Memory Usage
The new version optimized memory usage, preventing noticeable lag after prolonged use. Some users previously reported the APP slowing down after several hours of use — this issue has been addressed in the new version.
Data Consumption
Data transmission has been optimized with compression, reducing data consumption when using mobile data networks. This is good news for users with limited data plans.
How to View the Update Log
If you want to know the detailed content of each update, you can find the update log in these places:
In-App: Settings → About → Version Update Log. This typically lists the major changes in the current version.
App Store: If installed through Google Play or the App Store, you can see "What's New" on the APP's detail page in the app store.
Official social media: Binance's official Twitter, Telegram, and other channels also publish announcements for major updates.
Should You Update Every Time
It's recommended to stay on the latest version whenever possible. Updates involving security fixes should be completed promptly. If a particular update only includes minor feature adjustments and you're busy, delaying a day or two is fine, but using an old version for an extended period is not recommended.
Automatic updates are the most hassle-free approach. If you installed through an app store, enable automatic updates and the APP will automatically download and install new versions. If you installed via APK, you'll need to check for updates manually.
