Open the Binance APP and find it's all in a language you can't read? Don't worry — switching to your preferred language only takes a few steps. This commonly happens after first installing the APP or after an update. Make sure you've installed the genuine APP — the official Binance APP downloaded from the Binance official website supports multiple language switching. For iPhone installation, see the iOS installation guide.
Why the Interface Language Might Be Wrong
Before figuring out how to switch, let's understand why the language might be incorrect.
Default Language Wasn't Your Preferred Language at Installation
APPs downloaded from certain regional App Stores or through certain channels may default to English or the local language. This is normal and easily changed.
Language Reset After Update
Some version updates may reset language settings, causing the interface to revert to English. While this doesn't happen often, some users have experienced it.
Accidental Language Change
Sometimes you may have accidentally tapped the language settings and switched to a different language without realizing it.
Switching Language on the Login Page
If you haven't logged in yet, you can switch the language right on the login page.
Method 1: Find the Language Icon
On the login page, there's usually a globe icon or language switch button in the top left or top right corner. Tapping it displays a list of available languages — find and select your preferred language.
Method 2: Check Bottom Links
Some versions have language options at the bottom of the login page. Scroll to the bottom to check.
Even if the interface is in an unfamiliar language, you can identify the language switch by its position: it's typically represented by a globe icon, or it directly displays the current language name (such as "English").
Switching Language Within the APP
If you're already logged into the APP, follow these steps:
Step 1: Enter Personal Center
Tap the icon on the far right of the bottom navigation bar (usually a person icon), or tap the avatar/menu icon in the top left corner to enter the personal center page.
If the interface is in English, the label for this tab might say "Profile" or show a person silhouette icon.
Step 2: Find Settings
On the personal center page, find the "Settings" option and tap to enter. It usually has a gear icon.
Step 3: Find the Language Option
In the settings page, find the "Language" option. It might be near the top of the page or you may need to scroll down a bit.
Step 4: Select Your Language
Tapping the language option brings up a language list. Find and select your preferred language. After confirming, the interface will immediately switch.
Navigation Reference
Even if you can't read the current language, you can navigate by position. Here's a general position guide for common versions:
Bottom navigation bar: From left to right, it's typically Home, Markets, Trade, Futures, Wallets. The rightmost one is the personal center.
Settings page: After entering the personal center, "Settings" is usually in the middle-to-lower portion of the page, with a gear icon next to it.
Language option: After entering Settings, "Language" is usually among the first few options, possibly showing the current language name like "English" next to it.
What If Some Parts Are Still in Another Language After Switching
Sometimes after switching languages, most of the interface changes but some parts remain in English. This is normal, and the reasons include:
Cryptocurrency Names Stay in English
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrency names and ticker codes are universally displayed in English abbreviations — this is standard industry practice and won't be translated.
Some Feature Names Not Yet Translated
Some newer features may not have been translated yet and temporarily display in English. Translations will be progressively completed with version updates.
Announcements and Notifications
Some real-time announcements may only be available in English, depending on whether the Binance translation team has completed the translation work.
Other Language-Related Settings
Customer Service Language
If you need to contact online support, you can select your preferred language in the customer service interface. Binance supports multilingual customer service.
Email Language
In the APP's notification settings or language settings, there may be an option to set the language for received emails. After setting your preferred language, emails from Binance will be sent in that language.
Fiat Currency Display
You can also set the default fiat currency display unit. Find the "Currency" or "Fiat" option in settings and select your preferred currency (such as USD, EUR, etc.), so asset values will be displayed in that currency.
Notes for Different Phone Systems
Android Phones
The Binance APP on Android phones can normally switch languages regardless of the system language. This means even if your phone system is in one language, the APP can be switched to another.
iPhones
iPhones have a special feature: iOS allows you to set the language for each APP individually. The path is: Settings → Binance → Language. Select your preferred language here, and the APP interface will change accordingly.
This system-level language setting has higher priority than the in-app language setting. If you changed the language in the APP but it didn't take effect, check the APP language option in system settings.
What to Do If Language Switch Doesn't Work
If the language still hasn't changed after following the steps above, try these methods:
Restart the APP: Completely close the APP and reopen it — sometimes the switch needs a restart to take effect.
Clear cache: On Android, you can clear the Binance APP's cache data in app management.
Update the APP: If your APP version is quite old, the language switching feature may not work perfectly. Update to the latest version and try again.
Reinstall: If none of the above methods work, uninstall the APP and reinstall it. Choose your preferred language when you first open it after installation.
Language switching is that simple — just a few steps and you're done. If you accidentally change to the wrong language again in the future, just follow the same steps to switch it back.
